A Family Legacy in Eye Care
Dr. George Goodman is a third-generation optometrist with more than two decades of experience in refractive surgery, international vision research, and patient care. His deep clinical background is matched by a genuine commitment to helping every patient see and live better.
Experience & Training
Dr. Goodman began his career in private practice before co-founding the Advanced Laser and Cataract Center in Oklahoma City with Dr. Belardo in 2002. He went on to specialize in advanced vision correction at TLC Laser Eye Centers in Chicago, then returned to TLC Laser Eye Center in Denver to continue refining his surgical skills after a period of research work.
Research & Teaching
Dr. Goodman contributed to Refocus, an international research initiative studying presbyopia, placing him at the forefront of vision science. He has remained a sought-after lecturer on dry eye disease, refractive surgery, and advanced vision care, and has authored several books and articles on eye health. He brings that same knowledge directly into conversations with his patients.
Serving the Chickasha Community
In 2020, Dr. Goodman came home to Oklahoma, joining Eye Care Associates of South Tulsa. A longstanding relationship with Dr. Belardo later made his move to Chickasha Vision Center a natural one. Here, he combines his clinical expertise, research background, and patient-first approach to serve the community he now calls home. He values the personal connections he builds with patients and the chance to put his full range of knowledge to work for them every day.
Dr. Goodman loves working in Chickasha. He says this is the most fun he has had in his profession.
